Yvonne Browne, 

An internationally acclaimed painter, printmaker, book designer, educator and illustrator has a passion for people and bright colors, which led her to live and teach art in Bermuda and the Caribbean. The Caribbean inspired Browne the most with it's colorful lifestyle, exotic flowers and fruit, rainbow-hued sky and water, and colorfully dressed and friendly people.

Browne a perfectionist, hand pulls and hand colors her prints using batik dyes and inks, which become an archival part of the paper fibers.

* Marion Coleman

creates work that addresses family, history, nature, cultural traditions and social themes. These pieces utilize color and figurative imagery to educate, entertain, inspire and stimulate ideas and discussion.

Coleman’s work has been exhibited in the United States and internationally. She has numerous private commissions and has completed public art commissions for Alameda County Juvenile Justice Center, San Leandro, CA, Castro Valley Library, Castro Valley, CA and the Richmond, CA Civic Center.

Her work has been presented in several quilt publications including 500 Art Quilts, Textile Forum, Art Quilting Studio, American Craft, Quilting Arts Magazine, Alter Couture, Creative Quilting, a book on journal quilting and Textural Rhythms: Quilts in the Jazz Tradition, a book and touring quilt exhibition that opened in January 2011 at the Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco, CA.

She has served on the board of the African American Quilt Guild of Oakland, the African American Advisory Council of the Oakland Museum and the board of the Textile Arts Council of The de Young Museum.

Christine Chabiel Dargahi,

Long time educator, Dargahi masterfully transforms found objects into treasures, giving new life and purpose to discarded objects. She has a keen eye for finding unusual items, changing them into beautiful artifacts.

Her artwork ranges from acrylic painted gourds, wood animals, and ceramics to paintings on canvas. Dargahi’s intention is to amaze the viewer through color and design that reflects her Latina heritage. Her artwork has been featured in the Safeway Hispanic calendar.


*Bill Denham

Anna W. Edwards,

Mixed media painter, printmaker and teacher is known for her large scale and miniature abstract paintings and collages, Edwards has focused on the beauty, sounds and tension of the urban landscape. 

For over seven years she has focused on the Spiritual Landscape of the individual with her Lightbearer series.

Edwards, inspired by the majestic nature of the 2008 California fires, depicts the, color, power, chaos, serenity and devastation that ensued.

She has served on the board of Pro Arts,  The Arts council of San Leandro, Has been a docent at the Oakland Museum and the de Young Museum 


Clennis Justice

Clennis is a self taught photographer,  practicing over 20 years. 

Patricia A. Montgomery ,

Patricia Montgomery has a career spanning over 20 years with solo shows, installations, public art and many commissions around the United States and Internationally, Has work in many private and public collections.

Montgomery has taught quilting both here and abroad and has been the recipient of many prestigious awards and honors such as Alliance for California Traditional Art’s Apprenticeship Program; 2011 Master Artist Helen Anderson, Apprentice working together in the traditional art form of African American Quilting; 3D Group Award – Syncopation IV – 2008 Juried All-Media Exhibition – Palos Verdes Art Center, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. Montgomery was selected for the Illuminations 2007 Calendar - Mixed Media Fiber Collage titled “Sometime You Just Have to Play in a Red World” featured for the month of November - Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center - Boston, MA;


 Dianne Pierce ,

Art Instructor, Entrepreneur 

Ever since Dianne Pierce was a child she knew she wanted to do art. She graduated with an art major and is trained in drawing, watercolor, fashion illustration, pastels, figure drawing, and drafting. She has worked with children and adults both academically and in the community. She has attended California School of Professional Fabric Designers and currently owns a small handbag business, designing and making handbags.

Dianne will be teaching drawing, water color, color theory
